Phoenix Rising...
Aug. 4th, 2005 11:38 amFrom the Ashes...
It's been a while since I've written in a journal, much less one that was public domain. It's an interesting feeling and I'm hoping that it will move me to write more than if I was composing for an audience of one.
It hasn't been the best two weeks, but I'm not going to start off that way. Instead, I'm really thankful for all the little things that have made life a good place. My grandparents are alive and safe. Nothing could make me happier than that and my new apartment is lovely, bees and all. I think I'm going to name the ones that visit me...Buster is this new one's name.
I'm also going to get back into research for my thesis today...I think I've taken enough of a break to want to get back into reading and writing again. I'll be fine once I get a research topic, but until then, its going to be very much on my mind...Time to hack away at it!
August will be a great month, I think. Renn Fest is nearly here, David Gray is touring, and the Student Activities Fair approaches (Aug 23rd). Fencing season cant come soon enough; getting back into shape is a top priority for me.
So, it begins.
