Brief Update on Camping, etc.

Whew, so I got back from camping around 10:30am or so this morning.  Catoctin Mountain Park is a beautiful place and my buds and I had a really great time.  We were so far from civilization that my cell phone didn't get service up there, a true blessing in disguise.  I'm telling you it felt great to unplug for a bit.  A rousing fun time was had by all, but it took me most of today to recover from the chills I caught in the middle of the night.  I fell asleep with my winter coat on under all these layers of clothing and I STILL woke up in the middle of the night, my teeth chattering out Morse Code.   Five of us from my high school got together and enjoyed the remnants of the beautiful color on the trees.  We also ran into some very nice campers around us who helped us start a fire and were generally as nice as they could be, which contributed to the feeling of really getting away, considering here in DC, you could be running around with your arm hacked off and people will turn the other way.  I'm not sure how well we repaid their kindness since we ended up staying up late into the night thanks to a rousing game of "Never never have I Ever".  I'm telling you, that is one great game.  You get the chance to know more than you ever thought possible about the other people, and when the booze starts flowing freely enough, a better confessional you'll never find.   It's always gratifying to find that, in essence, we're all in the same boat when it comes to feeling somewhat lost in life, or feeling like we're just struggling day by day.  It sounds facile, I know...but its a terrible comfort when five of you can sit around a campfire, eating smores and drinking rum, admitting freely to each other that we're all fucked up in our own way but do our best to make it through.  

I'll probably try to post a quote list when I get around to remembering all the great stuff that was said, but here's the creme de la creme of quotes: 

(when asked about fantasizing about group sex): Anthony: "Well, I mean...that's a strange question...I mean, I've HAD group sex, but I don't know whether I ever fantasized about it...."

I don't know why, but I really love this picture.  I guess because it just BEGS to have a fic written around it, or an angsty icon of him and Shawn.  I need to improve at photoshop so I can make an icon or a banner out of it. 

Alrighty, then...time for bed so I can head to an eye appointment in the morning.  Nuthin' says "Luvin'" like having one's eyes dilated....Ugh...

I love any picture of Marty. :p Seriously though, you know what moment I thought begged to have some fic written from it? The following week when Shawn was almost pleading with Vince to leave Marty out of things... *dies*

Gah, I know! I have this hot picture of Marty with both of his hands on Shawn's shoulders with his head lowered. Very angsty, very warm, and loving...any chance you'd have a file of those episodes?

I keep trying to find those files on the webs, but its proved difficult. Even the WWE.com archive didn't have a good video...I'm so addicted to those two right now it's not even funny.

OH, and speaking of that, would you be able to take a gander at a S/M fic that I'm working on? I would love to have your input on it. It's in the starting stages right now so it might be a while...I'm trying to involve him in the Edgorton feud...

If I can get my video-to-pc connection thingy working and make some space on the hard drive (poor thing is full, again), I'll try and copy them over. It might take me a while so prod me to remind me or I'll forget. I'd forget my arse if I wasn't attached to it. *facepalm*
